The month of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, recognizing the importance of families & communities working together to strengthen families to prevent child abuse & neglect. In this two-part Spotlight, Sonya interviewed Andi Buerger, author & founder of Voices Against Trafficking and a former victim of human trafficking. In part one of Sonya’s interview with Andi, she tells us about her experience being trafficked by her own family, and how the Lord is using her story now to prevent the same from happening to others in similar situations that she was once in. Andi also shares some statistics about child trafficking that are pretty alarming & only emphasize the importance of the work her ministry does.
