According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, over 90,000 people are experiencing homelessness in New York State. As part of Life Changing Missions month at the Mars Hill Network, Sonya spoke to Daniel O’Shea, executive director of Maureen’s Haven in Riverhead, NY. In this Spotlight, he tells us what Maureen’s Haven’s homeless outreach program, how that program differs from other programs for the homeless & how that program helps the homeless physically & spiritually. Daniel also shares with Sonya the different types of homelessness & how Maureen’s Haven deals with each type.
