On this day, the international community comes together to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day that recognizes the history of this day – the liberation of the Auschwitz, the largest extermination camp in the Nazi regime, in 1945. In this episode of Spotlight, Sonya spoke with Richard Hurowitz, CEO of the Octavian Report & author of In The Garden of The Righteous – The Heroes That Risked Their Lives to Save Jews During The Holocaust. In their discussion, Richard talks about his first exposure to the Holocaust and how that experience led him to getting involved in remembering & educating people about the Holocaust, including writing his book.
