In My Father’s Kitchen’s mission is to feed people’s spirit, soul & body through food distribution & distribution of material necessities to break down barriers, build relationships & bring hope to those who feel invisible. As part of Life Changing Missions month at the Mars Hill Network, Sonya interviewed John Tumino, founder of In My Father’s Kitchen in Syracuse, NY. In this Spotlight, John tells us about In My Father’s Kitchen — what the ministry does & how they serve the homeless community, and Hired Ground, an extension of In My Father’s Kitchen, and how that outreach works to benefit the homeless. John also shares with us what someone should do when coming across a homeless person who is panhandling.
