According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 18.4 million children, or 1 in 4 children, live without a biological, step or adoptive father in the home. Research also shows a father’s absence affects children negatively, while a father’s presence makes a positive difference in the lives of children & mothers. In this Spotlight, Sonya interviews Brian Dewitz, the east central regional missionary for Fathers in the Field, an organization that stands in the gap created by fatherless homes. He shares with us the mission of Fathers in the Field and how their ministry helps young boys not fall into the cycle of destruction & abandonment fatherless homes create.
