Everyday Blessings #12: The Walls of Home

I keep a sign above my workstation which reads,

It’s a good reminder to me each day that nothing is a higher calling than being a wife and a mother. The job of teaching and raising my children is a far more important job than anything I might do or say on the radio! God has given me this one opportunity with these kids. I want to make the most of it. I want to be in the thick of it every day – even on the hard days.

Whatever stage of life you find yourself in, you still have important work to do in the walls of your home. You may live alone, but you can have a prayer ministry there. You may not be raising young kids, but you can open your home and be a blessing to a family in need! You may work full time, but you can start your day in God’s Word and prepare your heart for the day there in the walls of your home. Stay focused on the task God has for you! It starts right in the walls of your home.
