Everyday Blessings #1: Paul & Silas

Recently, I heard a message about Paul and Silas. They were preaching in Thessalonica, as they had preached in other cities along their journey –sharing the message of the Gospel to all who would listen. Their reputation had preceded them, it seems! Some who dislike Paul’s message went before the leaders of the city and said “These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.” Wow. That the same testimony could be said of me! That I turned the world upside down for Jesus!

See, the power of the Gospel changes lives. Individuals, families, communities were radically changed for eternity.  These leaders were watching the changes happen before their eyes and there was nothing they could do to stop it! Can you think of a time when your world was turned upside down by the power of Jesus? And what about your testimony? Have you turned the world upside down around you? Don’t let the conditions, the climate of the day, the politics of the hour stop you from being a world changer! We have the same power that Paul and Silas had to turn the world upside down today.
