Wayne Weekly “Summer of Hope…Re-Wound”
Written by Wayne Taylor on June 17, 2019
Each year for the past several years, the Mars Hill Network has been a promotional partner for Ron Hutchcraft’s On Eagles Wings Summer of Hope outreach to young Native American Indians. We’re blessed to be able to share weekly reports from OEW on how the Holy Spirit has moved on several reservations as the gospel is preached and shared at young people’s rallies and events.
The team that shares the Message of Hope are call OEW Warriors, and are trained at the OEW Warrior Summit. Here young people and team leaders learn the dos and don’ts of sharing the gospel on American Indian Reservations. Not only is there extensive training, but times of heartfelt, tear-drenched prayer events. Young Warriors pray for those young Americans who have so often been forgotten by others. Prayer goes up for the often neglected teenager, and prayer goes up against the problems that surround these young people. Problems with drugs and alcohol, a high suicide rate, elevated poverty rate, discrimination, obesity, self-hatred, sexual abuse, among others problems that plaque these young people. The Warriors pray much for the evangelistic outreach and for those who hear the Word to come to the Savior. The result…a bond that goes beyond team spirit. A bond of love between young believers and their mentors. All this in preparation for Summer of Hope.
Won’t you pray and even consider financially supporting this vital and unique outreach. Just click on the OEW Summer of Hope Banner at the top of our home page.
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
