Mission Statement:

The mission of Mars Hill Broadcasting Co., Inc. is to build the Body of Christ through the proclamation, application, and teaching of God’s Word, and to broadcast the gospel of Jesus Christ through media.

Outreach:

Mars Hill Broadcasting is a non-denominational Christian, not-for-profit, multi-media ministry originating in Syracuse, NY. The Mars Hill Network consists of seven “full power” FM radio stations and 15 repeater (translator) FM stations that serve much of upstate NY and into Ontario and Quebec, Canada by means of our border stations. The Mars Hill Network is also heard globally via our website and app, along with audio streaming.

The Mars Hill Network features strong biblical teachers – and Christian music from solid artists, featuring biblical solid lyrics. In a land filled with compromise, we dedicate ourselves to presenting the true hope of the Gospel.

BROADCASTING HISTORY OF MARS HILL NETWORK

March 9, 1969 - WMHR goes on air

Mars Hill’s first full-power station, WMHR 102.9 FM in Syracuse, NY, signs on-air to serve Central New York.

February 29, 1988 - WMHN goes on air

Mars Hill’s second full-power station, WMHN 89.3 FM in Webster, NY, begins broadcasting in the Greater Rochester Area.

October 1, 1990 - WMHI goes on air

Mars Hill’s third full-power station, WMHI 94.7 FM in Cape Vincent, NY, transmits its signal to Watertown, Northern NY, and Kingston and Southeastern Ontario Canada.

December 3, 2003 - WMHQ goes on air

Mars Hill’s fourth full-power station, WMHQ 90.1 FM in Malone, NY, goes on the air reaching those in the Malone-Massena region, including parts of Ontario and Quebec Canada.

July 12, 2011 - WMHU goes on air

Mars Hill’s fifth full-power station, WMHU 91.1 FM in Cold Brook, NY, is born providing Christian broadcasting to Utica and the Mohawk Valley.

February 28, 2013 - WMHY goes on air

Mars Hill’s sixth full-power station, WMHY 88.7 FM in Richfield Springs, NY, brings the Mars Hill Network to rural communities lying outside of the Utica area.

July 25, 2019 - WMHH goes on air

Mars Hill’s sixth full-power station, WMHH 96.7 FM in Albany, NY, brings the Mars Hill Network signal to hundreds of thousands in the capital region, including Albany, Troy & Schenectady Counties.

June 1, 2020 - One North is born

Mars Hill’s digital media division One North is born, bringing the ministry of Mars Hill Network into the digital age with additional biblical, Christ-centered content offerings beyond its radio broadcast.

Thanks to the prayers and assistance of many Christians, numerous “repeater stations” also have been added throughout the years, expanding the family of stations that make up the Mars Hill Network.
