The Jewish Ghetto of Venice: Exiled, but not abandoned
August 2 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

In the 16th century, the Jewish people in Venice, Italy were locked inside ghetto walls each night, marking them as outsiders in the society around them. They were considered infidels and inferiors by many people in Venice. Though restricted physically and socially, the Jewish community preserved its faith, cultivated deep scholarship, and continued to fulfill their God-given calling to be a light to the nations. What was meant to isolate instead became a place of spiritual influence – impacting both Jewish and Christian worlds, then and now.
