Dietrich Bonhoeffer (February 1906 – 9 April 1945) was a German Lutheran pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident, and key founding member of the Confessing Church. His writings on Christianity’s role in the world have become widely influential. His book The Cost of Discipleship has become a modern classic.
On this edition of Spotlight we begin our discussion on Bonhoeffer’s life with Lutheran Pastor Eric Andrae of First Trinity Church located In Pittsburgh PA. Dr. Andrae also serves as Campus Pastor at the Lutheran Student Fellowship also in Pittsburgh. Also joining us is Pastor Robert Foote of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ithaca.. also heard on the Mars Hill Network on Pastor for the Day, the fourth Wednesday of each month.
