Prayers by Pete: Storms

Written by on December 24, 2018

Storms bring confusion.

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
2 Corinthians 2:11 In order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners; purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.
Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of them who prosper in their way, because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.

Storms make us stronger.

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord your God, Who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, do not fear; I will help you.
2 Corinthians 4:8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing.
2 Corinthians 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
James 1:2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials.
James 1:3 Know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
James 1:4 And let the endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

Storms bring a refreshing.

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the river, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched nor will the flames burn you.
Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul; He guides us in the path of righteousness for His name sake.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation,
but take courage, I have overcome the world.
Psalm 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Heavenly Father, when “Storms” come we grow, as we move closer to the Lord.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
