Prayers by Pete: Resting in the Lord

Written by on May 15, 2017

We will walk with no fear for the Lord is always with us.

Psalm 118:6 The Lord is with us; we will not be afraid. What can anyone do to us?
Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid I will put my trust in Thee.
Hebrews 12:2 Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

On the rock we will stand; we will not be shaken.

Ephesians 2:20 Having been built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone.
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt make known to me the path of life. In Thy presence is fullness of joy and in Thy right hand there are pleasures forever.

Jesus loves our heart and we will rejoice.

Matthew 22:37 The Lord said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the greatest and foremost commandment.
Matthew 22:39 The Second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:30 On these two commandments depend the whole law and the Prophets.”
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice.
Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice you righteous ones, and shout for joy all you who are upright in your hearts.

Problems all around – we are resting in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to us all, and God is faithful, who will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also that we may be able to endure it.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls.
Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Mark 6:31a And the Lord said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while.”

Heavenly Father, each day you cover us with your love, – “Resting in the Lord”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
