Prayers by Pete: Pursuit of Knowledge

Written by on August 21, 2017

Lord, I was far from you.

Matthew 15:8 These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
Matthew 15:9 Then worship me in vain; their teaching are merely human rules.
Psalm 22:19 But Thou, O Lord, be not far off; O Thou my help, hasten to my assistance.
Jeremiah 23:23 I am a God who is near, declares the Lord, and not a God far off.
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I had so much hurt.

Colossians 3:13 Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone,
just as the Lord forgave you so also should you.
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Luke 6:27 But I say to you who heas, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.
Luke 6:28 Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

I could not feel loved.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 8:37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Christ who loves us.
Romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor power,
Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ diesd for us.

I had no peace.

Isaiah 48:22 There is no peace for the wicked, says the Lord.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guards your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 3:11 And let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.

The Lord will guide us with His knowledge.

Psalm 32:8 Our Lord will instruct us and teach us in the way which we should go. The Lord will counsel you with His eyes upon you.
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Galatians 5:25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
Colossians 1:10 So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in knowledge of God.

Heavenly Father, your smile brings us joy. Lord, when we focus on you then we have the “Pursuit of knowledge”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
