Prayers by Pete: Presence of the Lord

Written by on September 12, 2017

The light of Christ guides us.

John 8:12 Jesus spoke to them, “I am the light of the world, those who follow Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Psalm 25:4 Make us know Thy ways, O Lord; teach us Thy paths.
Psalm 25:5 Lead us in Thy truth and teach us. For Thou art the God of our salvation; for Thee I wait all the day.
Psalm 5:8 O Lord, lead me in Thy righteousness because of my foes; make Thy way straight before me.

The love of Christ saturates our soul.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant.
1 Corinthians 13:5 Love does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered.
1 Corinthians 13:6 Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:8a Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:13 Now remains faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Mark 12:30 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your strength.

The power of Christ covers us like a shield.

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart exults and with song I shall thank Him.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the Heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

The presence of Christ is over us.

Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from Thy Spirit? Or where can I flee from Thy presence?
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt make known to me the path of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; in Thy right hand there are pleasures forever.
Exodus 33:14 And God said, “My presence shall go with you and I will give you rest.”
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you future and a hope.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

There Christ will be, wherever we go.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Heavenly Father, with your joy we can face another day; our desire is to be in the “Presence of the Lord”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
