Prayers by Pete: His Counsel

Written by on October 29, 2019

We have a choice.

Starting each day giving thanks.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you because you remember me in everything, and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.
Matthew 16:24 Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let them deny themselves, and take up their cross, and follow Me.
John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches, those who abide in Me and I in them, they shall bear much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Do not bring old stuff into a new day.

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as of having laid hold of it yet, but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.
Philippians 3:14 I press on on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 5:12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in Heaven is great.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 5:11 Let all who take refuge in Thee be glad, let them ever sing for joy; mayest Thou shelter them, that those who love Thy name may exult Thee.
Lamentations 3:22 The Lord’s loving-kindness indeed never ceases, for His compassion never fails.
Lamentation 3:23 They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.

Jesus guides us by His counsel.

John 16:13 When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears He will speak; He will disclose to us what is to come.
Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will continually guide you, and satisfy your desires in scorched places, and give strength to your bones.
Psalm 32:7 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eyes upon you.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 73:24 With Thy counsel Thou wilt guide us, and afterward receive us to glory.
Psalm 16:7 I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.

Heavenly Father, we are blessed, having “His Counsel” guiding us.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
