Prayers by Pete: God Speaks

Written by on August 20, 2018

God speaks. Not now Lord, I am busy.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; you shall find rest for your souls.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

God speaks, but we ignore Him.

Proverbs 1:24 Because I called and you refused; I stretched out My hand and no one paid attention,
Proverbs 1:25 And you neglected all my counsel and did not want my reproof.
Proverbs 1:26 I will even laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes.
Proverbs 1:27 When your dread comes like a storm and your calamity comes on like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish comes on you.
Proverbs 1:28 Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me.
Proverbs 1:29 Because they hate knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:30 They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof.
Proverbs 1:31 So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way and be satiated with their own devices.
Proverbs 1:32 For the waywardness of the naive shall kill them, and the complacency of fools shall destroy them.
Proverbs 1:33 But those who listen to Me shall live securely and shall be at easy from the dread of evil.

God speaks; we should honor Him.

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promises, as some count slowness, but patient toward us all, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
Psalm 22:23 You who fear the Lord, praise Him; all you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, and stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord from your wealth and from the first of all your produce.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether, then you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God speaks, and we praise His holy name.

Psalm 150:1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of godly ones.
Psalm 95:1 O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:6 Come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Psalm 24:8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Psalm 24:9 Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, o ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Psalm 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.

Heavenly Father, you are mighty and awesome in every way. When “God Speaks”, I will listen.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
