Prayers by Pete: Follow Jesus

Written by on March 8, 2018

Problems will bring us closer to Christ.

James 4:8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners, and purify your hearts you double-minded.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, our Lord is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

Not letting a problem destroy you, but trusting.

Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, “Behold I am making all things new. And He said write these words, they are trustworthy and true.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid I will put my trust in Thee.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it.

Keeping our eyes on Jesus, He will strengthen us.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weakness that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
2 corinthians 12:10 Therefore, I am well content with weakness, with insults, with distresses, with persecution, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I have decided to follow Jesus.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let them deny themselves, and take up their cross and follow Me.”
Psalm 119:133 Establish my footsteps in Thy word, and do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.
2 Thessalonians 3:5 And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the perseverance of Christ.
Psalm 128:1 How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, thank you for everything that you have done; I have decided to “Follow Jesus” all the days of my life.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
