Prayers by Pete: Christ Alone

Written by on April 9, 2018

Lord, I need your help.

Psalm 86:1 Incline Thine ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am afflicted and needy.
Psalm 86:2 Do preserve my soul, for I am a godly person; O Thou my God, save Thy servant who trusts in Thee.
Psalm 119:133 Establish my footsteps in Thy word and do not let iniquity have dominion over me.
Psalm 79:8 Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; let Thy compassion come quickly to meet us.
Psalm 16:1 Preserve me, O Lord, for I take refuge in Thee.

Lord, please take these problems away.

James 1:2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials.
James 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
James 1:4 And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; you shall find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:30 For My yoke is easy and My load is light.

The world is interfering with my focus.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
Mark 4:19 And the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the world, and it becomes unfaithful.
Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
Matthew 6:33 Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

My focus is on Jesus.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, and of anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.
Philippians 4:9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace shall be with you.
Psalm 1:1 How blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners.
Psalm 1:6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

My strength is the Lord.

Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary, and to those who lacks might He increases power.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore, my heart exults and with my song I shall thank Him.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

Heavenly Father, in your stillness we find peace in “Christ Alone”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
