Prayers by Pete: Peace of the Lord

Written by on March 20, 2017

Lord, cover my eyes so I may not see any sin.

Job 31:1 I have made a covenant with my eyes. How then could I gaze at a young woman?
Proverbs 28:13 If you hide your sins, you will not succeed. But if you confess and renounce them, you will receive mercy.
Psalm 90:8 Thou hast placed our iniquities before Thee; our secret sins in the light of Thy presence.

Lord, lead me in the path of your choice so I may not sin.

Psalm 32:8 Our Lord will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; He will counsel you with His eyes upon you.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “if anyone wishes to come after me, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me.”
Leviticus 18:4 You shall follow My rules and keep My statutes and walk in them. I am the Lord your God.
John 8:12 Jesus spoke  to them saying, “I am the light of the world, those who follow Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”.

Lord, please forgive us for all our sins.

1 Corinthians 15:3 For what I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins.
1 Corinthians 15:4 And that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, our Lord is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all our sins.

Our desire is to walk in the presence of the Lord.

Colossians 1:10 So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:11 Strengthened with power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience, joyously.
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
Colossians 1:13 For the Lord has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son.

Lord, help us to walk in your perfect peace.

Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled nor let it be afraid.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehensions, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Heavenly Father thank you for your grace and mercy – walking with the “Peace of the Lord”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
