Prayers by Pete: A Blessing to Others

Written by on January 22, 2018

Do not judge others.

Matthew 7:1 Do not judge lest you will be judged.
Matthew 7:2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
Matthew 7:3 And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Matthew 7:4 Or how can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck our of your eye”, and behold, the log is in your own eye?
Matthew 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

When we see a person struggling, pray for them.

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord you God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, “do not fear, I will help you.”
1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
Philippians 2:4 Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:5 Have an attitude in yourself which was also in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?

Don’t like someone’s appearance?

1 Samuel 16:7 The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at their appearance or at the height of their stature, because I have rejected them; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer person is decaying, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before all people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

Be a blessing to others.

Proverbs 11:25 The generous person will be prosperous, and they who water will themselves be watered.
James 1:17 Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord, and whose trust is the Lord.
Psalm 115:15 May you be blessed of the Lord, maker of Heaven and the Earth.
Psalm 113:2 Blessed be the name of the Lord, from this time forth and forever.

Heavenly Father, we will follow your word not to judge and be “A Blessing to Others”.
Humbly I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Please forward this so others may be blessed.
