Join us for this months CPMA meeting!
Special speaker this month will be Pastor Christopher Sackett.
I am currently serving in a pastoral internship as the Associate Pastor for First Baptist Church of Baldwinsville NY, and I am a student at Ohio Christian University studying for my Bachelors in Ministry (concentrating in church pastoral ministry, counseling, and church administration). As my internship is ending in December of 2013, I am currently looking for a pastorate with a local church.
I grew up in Liverpool NY before moving to Cicero NY at the age of 12. I am a 1993 graduate of Cicero North Syracuse High School where I met my wife Rebecca (a 1994 graduate from Cicero North Syracuse High School). I then graduated from Onondaga Community College with a degree in the arts (focusing in on music performance, music history and art history) and spent 13 years working in radio and television both in Syracuse and in Buffalo NY (most notably with 95X WAQX, with B 104.7 WBBS in Syracuse, and with 107.7 WNSA in Buffalo). I then spent 4 years doing call center work. After many trials and life experiences, I gave myself to Jesus Christ and from that day on I have devoted myself to serving the Lord.
Before coming to First Baptist Church of Baldwinsville, I served in music ministry as the bassist for Calvary Baptist Church and for Wellspring Family Life Church of Brewerton NY. Also at Calvary, I worked with the audio-visual ministry and with the youth ministry and at Wellspring, both myself and Rebecca worked with Boiling Point, a ministry focusing on addictions counseling. Prior to this, I had been with the Buckley Road Baptist Church chapter of Reformers Unanimous International; a faith based addictions program.
We have four children; Blaze, Kiera, Zachary, and Hunter. My passions are for preaching the Gospel, music ministry, church administration, and family life counseling. Rebecca and I enjoy spending time with our children, music, movies, and travel. Our prayer is that the Lord will place us in a pastorate with a church that we can grow with.
